The Optometric Foundation of North Dakota

The Optometric Foundation of North Dakota is a statewide nonprofit guided by optometrists from across North Dakota.

The Foundation has a bold vision: eliminate lazy eye in North Dakota. Early detection of conditions such as lazy eye is important for effective treatment.

We want to ensure that families who need screening guidelines receive FREE comprehensive eye exams for their pre-school-age kids (ages 4-7).

Our Vision

We will enhance opportunities for all by eliminating vision problems through early detection, comprehensive care, and community partnerships.

Our Mission

Improving lives by improving sight through accessible, high-quality eye care for children who need it most.

Our Goal

To eliminate amblyopia (lazy eye) from North Dakota children through early detection and treatment
